Bë Brel Ner (/bɛ/ /brel/ [safe] [tail]) is a subtropical Large Town located in the Rúpoůj Aysh Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Bë Brel Ner is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Bë Brel Ner was founded by Nīrmboī Cúchīs 'Riley Nadia' Góchīs Mboidī Dāshvōy Igegri, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Overview

Bë Brel Ner was founded durring the late 13th century in winter of the year 1163, by Nīrmboī Cúchīs 'Riley Nadia' Góchīs Mboidī Dāshvōy Igegri. The establishment of Bë Brel Ner was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Nīrmboī Cúchīs 'Riley Nadia' Góchīs Mboidī Dāshvōy Igegri electing to pay people to resettle in Bë Brel Ner.

Bë Brel Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Bë Brel Ner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Bë Brel Ner is buildings have been located at convienant points along the rivers Bë Brel Ner was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the narrow flagstone streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. Bë Brel Ner's failry decent fortifications has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

A look around Bë Brel Ner gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring jsut long enough for it to be uncomfortable. Cultural Notes

While Bë Brel Ner might ostensibly be ruled by some other power, real control lies with the senior members of the local craft and labor guilds. Their decisions have the practical weight of law, and much of their time and effort is spent squeezing out competitors and parceling out economic opportunities in the community. Some guilds might have little or nothing to do with their original trade, and now exist purely as shells for political influence.

Bë Brel Ner's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Bë Brel Ner was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Bë Brel Ner lost 196 people, 112 livestock, and 86 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 212, when members of Bë Brel Ner's militia enacted an operation to secure a particular port to utilize it for a specific task. The operation was complicated by the enemy setting up an ambush. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in defeat for Bë Brel Ner's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Bë Brel Ner's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
